...so what about other fighting game mechanics that were originally glitches?
- Guilty Gear's Roman Cancel might have come from the weird "taunt cancel" seen in the original entry, The Missing Link. It was much harder to execute, but you could do it essentially for free.
- Smash Bros' "wavedashing" was originally an engine exploit, but has since been turned into a mechanic into many different platform fighters due to its versatility and tactility.
- In Tekken, you're able to cancel back dashing into mostly anything except for another back dash. But by crouching, you're able to quickly sway between dashing and crouching, creating what's known as the Korean Back Dash.
